RASC News Agency: In the wake of the perilous and devastating earthquakes that have recently rocked the western region of Afghanistan, several nations have pledged their assistance to aid the afflicted. In a recent development, the United Arab Emirates, as announced by Taliban officials, has established a temporary clinic in Western Afghanistan to provide medical treatment to the victims of these earthquakes. The UAE has promptly deployed 45 doctors, a technical team of 25 individuals, and 14 containers of critical supplies to Herat.
According to the Bakhtar News Agency, which is under the Taliban’s control, this temporary clinic will operate round the clock, offering medical services to those affected by the Herat earthquakes. Qalandar Ebad, the Acting Minister of Public Health for the Taliban group, had previously revealed plans for the construction of a health clinic in the earthquake-stricken areas during his visit to Herat. It is worth noting that historic Herat has been plagued by several catastrophic earthquakes since October 7, causing severe harm to its inhabitants and the destruction of invaluable cultural reservoirs. Numerous local and international organizations are actively engaged in providing assistance to the victims affected by this catastrophic event.
Regrettably, the earthquakes that have ravaged Herat province in the past week have resulted in catastrophic consequences, claiming the lives of thousands, injuring numerous others, and causing the disappearance of certain individuals. It is imperative to highlight that certain sources from Herat province have voiced grave concerns over the inconsistent distribution of limited supplies by the Taliban group operating within the area, accusing them of contradictory behavior and haphazard implementation.
