RASC News Agency: The Coordination Council of Diplomatic and Consular Missions of Afghanistan said in a statement that the increase and revival of terrorist groups in Afghanistan under the control of the Taliban is a matter of concern.
According to the diplomats of the previous government, the lack of “rule of law” increases the risk of global terrorism.
This council said that the countries of the world should coordinate to deal with terrorism.
In a statement of this council, according to the special report of the United Nations, which was published in June this year, it pointed out the worsening of the human rights situation, especially of women and girls in Afghanistan under the control of the Taliban group.
Similarly, in the UN special human rights report prepared on discrimination against women and girls in Afghanistan, it has been reported about the increase in depression and suicide among Afghanistani girls, and in this report it is stated that: “Nowhere in the world is there such a widespread and systematic violation of gender equality as in Afghanistan.” It has not been done to women and girls.”
In a statement, the Council of Afghanistani Diplomats considered the violation of the rights of citizens, especially the rights of women, and their deliberate and widespread exclusion from the society as an example of gender apartheid and asked the international community to recognize it.
According to this statement, the dominance of the Taliban group in Afghanistan has caused human and economic crises, increasing the threat of international terrorism and political instability, and in addition, brain drain, arbitrary arrests, and extra-legal targeted killings are other things that have increased with the dominance of this group in Afghanistan.
In their statement, this council also called for the continuation of humanitarian aid and the creation of a clear mechanism for those in need of this aid.
Antonio Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations, in a tweet yesterday, called the current situation in Afghanistan, especially the restrictions imposed on Afghanistani women and girls, a worrying situation.
This is despite the fact that the countries of the world have repeatedly expressed concern about the increase of terrorist groups in Afghanistan.
