RASC News Agency: As reported Mirwais Azizi, the proprietor of a prominent private bank in Afghanistan, has revealed a financial commitment of 200 million Afghanistan currency to provide much-needed aid to the victims of the tragic Herat earthquake.
The announcement was made public on Sunday, October 8, via a message posted on the widely used X social network. Mr. Azizi emphasized the urgency of assisting those who have been affected by the earthquake and stated, “To ensure prompt relief, I have personally directed the immediate allocation of 200 million Afghanistan currency through the Azizi Foundation. A dedicated delegation will be dispatched to the devastated region of Herat to ensure that the aid is promptly and equitably distributed.”
Furthermore, Mr. Azizi made it known that his brother, Homayoun Azizi, is scheduled to travel to Herat in the coming days. With a keen eye for efficient coordination and management, Homayoun Azizi will oversee the distribution process on the ground, ensuring that it is carried out smoothly and meticulously.
In addition to the contribution by Mirwais Azizi and the Azizi Foundation, Kam Air Company has also stepped forward, offering a significant sum of 10 million Afghanistan currency to support the earthquake victims in Herat.
Meanwhile, noteworthy international support has been extended, with both China and Japan expressing their readiness to lend their assistance to the people of Herat during this challenging time.
It is essential to highlight the gravity of the situation, as the province of Herat has recently endured a devastating earthquake which resulted in a tragic loss of over two thousand lives.
