RASC News Agency: In a recent statement, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to enforcing its decision to repatriate illegal asylum seekers. This matter was brought to the attention of the public through a news article published on October 6th, by the aforementioned spokesperson. According to Baloch, Pakistan intends to systematically and organizedly deport all Afghanistani immigrants who have unlawfully entered the country.
The Pakistani official emphasized that this decision is in line with the country’s internal laws, and the government is resolute in its determination to implement it. Baloch further asserted that this policy applies universally to all undocumented immigrants, without exception or discrimination based on nationality. Baloch also acknowledged the presence of 1.4 million legally registered Afghanistani refugees in Pakistan who are excluded from the deportation plan. These individuals have been duly registered by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and possess the necessary documentation.
It is noteworthy that the Pakistani government had previously declared its intention to repatriate all undocumented asylum seekers, including 1.7 million Afghanistani citizens. These individuals have been granted time until November 1 of this year to voluntarily depart from Pakistan. Failure to do so will lead to their deportation to their respective countries as per a predetermined plan and schedule. Concurrently, the recent ascendancy of the Taliban and the consequent transformations following their takeover have compelled a substantial number of Afghanistani citizens to flee their nation for various reasons, such as security threats, joblessness, and indigence.
