RASC News Agency: Women entrepreneurs in Kabul are advocating for enhanced international marketing avenues to promote their products on a global scale. During a recent exhibition, these women highlighted the necessity for support in expanding their market reach, including opportunities beyond Afghanistan’s borders.

The 31st Agricultural Exhibition, themed “Standard Production: Access to International Markets,” was held in Badam Bagh, Kabul. At the event, women entrepreneurs articulated their challenges and aspirations, urging for improved marketing strategies to facilitate wider distribution of their products internationally.

One entrepreneur expressed, “While we are pleased with our sales at this exhibition, we encounter numerous obstacles in marketing our goods. We implore the Taliban to assist in promoting our products in international markets.” Arefa Alizadah, a participant at the exhibition, stated, “I urge the Taliban to facilitate our participation in international exhibitions so we can showcase and sell our products abroad.” These women seek the removal of restrictions that hinder their business operations, allowing them to pursue their entrepreneurial endeavors without impediment.

Since the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, women have faced prohibitions on education and employment. Despite these oppressive measures, many women have adapted by utilizing online marketplaces to sustain their livelihoods. However, those who still engage in traditional trade are grappling with significant limitations imposed by the Taliban, severely impacting their ability to operate freely and effectively.
