RASC News Agency: A young boy in the Yakawlang district of Bamyan province apparently jumped off a mountain and died, according to local reports.

According to reports, this boy’s name is Qurban, and he was around 25 years old.
The sources indicated that the incident occurred on October 4th, following Qurban’s rejection of the girl to whom he had been engaged for a period of three years.
Sources have added that Qurban was the main resident of “Chahar Deh” village in Yakawlang No. 1 district.

Abdul Sabour Farzan, the spokesperson of the Governor of the Taliban Group in Bamyan, stated that the young man’s body had been submitted to his family and confirmed the suicide of the young man.
It is important to note that in the past few days and months, people have been seeing the suicide of youngsters and teenagers every day in various provinces of the country.
According to experts, poverty, unemployment, violence in the family, and a lack of knowledge about psychotherapy are the top causes of suicide among Afghanistani’s youth.
Youth suicide constitutes a major public mental health problem. Young people, especially adolescents, are by nature a vulnerable group for mental health problems. While suicide is relatively rare in children, its prevalence increases significantly throughout adolescence in the country.
According to the reports, the rate of suicide among the young generation drastically increased due to the current worst situation in Afghanistan.

It is noteworthy that in recent days and months, there has been a surge in the number of suicides among young people and teenagers in different provinces of Afghanistan. Experts have identified poverty, unemployment, domestic violence, and a lack of awareness about psychotherapy as the leading causes of youth suicide in the country.

Youth suicide poses a significant challenge to public mental health. Adolescents, in particular, are a vulnerable group when it comes to mental health issues. While suicide is relatively uncommon in children, its incidence rises considerably during adolescence in Afghanistan.

Reports suggest that the rate of suicide among the younger generation has surged significantly due to the current dire situation in the country.
