RASC News Agency: According to local sources from Kandahar province, at least 22 students of a religious school in this province have been poisoned.

Sources have told the media that the poisoned students belong to a religious school called “Nomania” located in the twelfth district of Kandahar city, and they were poisoned on Monday, August 14.

According to the sources, these students were poisoned by the food that was brought from a residential house.

The sources added, the students were transferred to the hospital after being poisoned and some of them are still being treated.

It should be mentioned that on June 4, this year, about 70 male and female students from the first to sixth grades and two female teachers were mysteriously poisoned in Sancharak district of Sare -Pol province.

The poisoned children included 50 male and female students from “Kabud Ab” secondary school and 20 students and two teachers from “Faizabad” girls’ school in Sancharak district.

At that time, it was claimed that the local people had seen the Taliban group patrolling and visiting around the school the day before this incident, as if they had done this in order to oppose the process of educating girls.

Meanwhile, in response to this act, Rina Amiri, the US special representative for Afghanistan’s women and girls’ affairs and human rights, expressed her concern and said: “We must continue to support all Afghanistanis, including women and girls, to have unrestricted and Fear of having access to education.”

This is despite the fact that the Taliban group, since their domination of the country, limited the field of education for female students, and girls above the sixth grade were prohibited from going to school.
