RASC News Agency: The Afghanistani Women’s Movement announced that the arrest of active Afghanistani women by the Taliban group means to silence the voices of millions of Afghanistani women.

The Afghanistan Powerful Women’s Movement made these statements yesterday, September 27, in response to the arrest of Zhulia Parsi, the head of the “Afghanistan Women’s Spontaneous Protest Movement” and said that her arrest by the Taliban group indicates that this group is trying to silence the voices of millions of Afghanistani women.

By publishing a statement, this movement has condemned the actions of the Taliban group against protesting women.

In a declaration of this movement, it is stated that the Taliban group has been increasingly arresting and torturing dozens of protesting women in the past two years, which shows a clear violation of human rights by the Taliban group.

This movement added in its announcement: ” Zhulia Parsi and her child, along with doctor Nida Parwani, along with her husband and child, are under torture by the Taliban group in the prison of the Taliban group for the crime of being a woman and for the crime of freedom and justice for all the people of the country.”

It should be mentioned that members of the Taliban group arrested Zhulia Parsi and her son from the Qala-e- Fatullah area of Kabul city yesterday.

This is despite the fact that the Taliban group imposed repressive restrictions against Afghanistani women and girls since their domination of the country, which led to a wave of widespread protests by Afghanistani women and girls.
