Floods in Faryab Claim 12 Lives

RASC News Agency: Devastating floods in Faryab province have once again resulted in significant financial losses and fatalities, affecting both the provincial center and several districts. Local sources informed the media that the floods, which began on the night of May 18, led to the deaths of 12 people in the village of Qurchi in Belcharagh district. Additionally, five people are missing, and six others have sustained injuries.

 

According to these sources, the floods in Faryab have destroyed 200 houses and 50 shops, while thousands of acres of land and orchards have also been damaged. The districts of Belcharagh, Almar, Qaisar, Pashtun Kot, and Khwaja Sabz Posh have experienced the most severe financial and human losses due to the floods.

 

Similarly, floods on Friday in Ghor province have caused significant casualties and financial losses. Taliban officials in Ghor report that 50 people have died so far due to the floods. Furthermore, several other provinces have experienced heavy rainfall and destructive floods in recent days, resulting in substantial casualties and damage.
