RASC News Agency: Mohammad bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, said that during his trip to Kandahar three months ago, he agreed with the Taliban group on issues such as the need for women to return to work.

Mohammad bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani said in an interview with CNN reporter Christian Amanpour: “My discussions in Kandahar with the Taliban were very clear.”If you want to be part of the international community, you should cooperate with us so that your country becomes a modern Islamic country like Qatar.”

Furthermore, in response to the question whether the Taliban group accepted his words or not, the Prime Minister of Qatar said: “I hope so.”

The Qatar Prime Minister has stated that he has asked the leadership of the Taliban group to allow women to return to their work, especially in non-governmental organizations, and to assist other families in Afghanistan.

According to him, the role of women in Qatar is very constructive and works at the leadership levels of ministries and embassies.

Al Thani has reminded of Qatar as a modern Islamic country where women are free and an active part of society.

As well as, this is despite the fact that two years have passed since the Taliban group dominated Afghanistan, this group still does not allow girls and women to go to school, university and work.

Qatar is one of the countries that has close relations with the Taliban group and the political office of this group is currently active in that country. This office has become the center of secret meetings between countries and Taliban delegations.

It should be mentioned that the Taliban group conducted its talks with the United States of America from the Qatar office, which led to the signing of an agreement between the group and the United States.
