RASC News Agency: According to local sources from Herat province, the deputy speaker of Jameh Mosque in this province beat a young man because of his lack of beard.

Sources told the media on Tuesday, September 19, that this young man was beaten up last evening after finishing the congregational prayer, which was held in this mosque.

Based on information from the sources, this young man was beaten by Qari Mohammad Noor, deputy speaker of Herat Mosque, in the presence of all the people, after finishing the congregational prayer.

The sources added that this young man had a short beard.

This is despite the fact that the Taliban group did not force people to wear beards in the first days of their domination of Afghanistan, and people were not forced to wear special clothes.

However, recently, this group is directly and indirectly trying to repeat the pressures and hardships that the Afghanistani people experienced during the first round of this group’s rule.

Meanwhile, government employees had previously said that strictness has increased after the Taliban leader’s order not to forget the good and forbid the evil.

Earlier, this group also beat up a man who was wearing a headscarf and had shaved his beard.

Although the Taliban, in response to the criticisms arising from their actions, say that, these restrictions are “recommendations”, but the people have a different story.

It should be noted that the Taliban group justifies these restrictions under the name of Sharia rules and claims that they only “recommend” these things.
