RASC News Agency: Local sources in Daikundi province say that the activities of at least 15 aid organizations have stopped since the beginning of this year.
These sources say that the reason for the suspension of the activities of aid organizations is the restriction, blackmail and pressure of the Taliban group.
One of these sources says that Aminullah Obaid, the governor of the Taliban group in Daikundi, Muhammadullah Iqbal, has appointed his niece as the head of the economy of this province and is blackmailing aid institutions in this way.
According to the source, institutions that refuse to pay ransom are not allowed to operate.
Sources claim that there is discrimination in the aid distribution process and most of the aid is transferred to the Pashtun-inhabited areas, while the majority of Daikundi is Hazara-inhabited.
These sources say that the officials of the Taliban group, including Enayatullah, the brother of the head of the economy of the Taliban group, are interfering in the survey of the relief organizations and depriving the deserving people of aid on various pretexts.
Sources also say that the local authorities of the Taliban group in Daikundi province have threatened, humiliated, beaten and in some cases jailed the employees of aid organizations several times.
According to the sources, in the latest case, the governor of the Taliban group in Daikundi threatened and “slapped” the head of the International Organization for Migration in his office.
Some time ago, a number of representatives of the people of Daikundi, including the attorneys of Nili district, filed a complaint regarding blackmails and the suspension of the activities of the organizations assisting the intelligence department of the Taliban group in this province.
In their complaint letter, the intelligence of the Taliban group in Daikundi was asked to identify the perpetrators of extortions and prevent the activities of aid agencies in this province.
On the other hand, based on the documents provided to the media, the officials of the Taliban group have transferred the humanitarian aid to the people of Daikundi province to other provinces.
