RASC News Agency: Reports from Bamyan Province, citing the former head of the provincial education department, disclose that the current alleged leader of the Taliban group overseeing education affairs in Bamyan was previously engaged in gardening activities before the group assumed control in Ghazni Province. Mr. Sheikh Nazer Hossein Jafari addressed this issue in a self-proclaimed session, asserting that Mawlawi Rahmatullah Qandli, the purported current head of the Taliban in Bamyan’s education sector, lacks proper literacy skills. He claims Qandli only comprehends his signature, signing documents without reading them.
Mr. Jafari decried Rahmatullah Qandli’s leadership in Bamyan’s education department, accusing him of perpetrating injustice against the province’s people. During his statement, he highlighted, “In my eight months as the head of education in Bamyan, four school buildings were erected, but Qandli’s incompetence thwarted the repair of even one school chair during his tenure.” According to accounts, the Taliban group has previously executed similar maneuvers in various provinces, displacing competent individuals with unqualified and inexperienced personnel in critical government roles, resulting in the removal of qualified individuals from their positions.
In a precedent, sources revealed from the Taliban-led education department in Parwan Province that the group ousted former government officials and appointed individuals who had graduated from religious schools to fill their roles. These assertions emanate from diverse provinces nationwide, underscoring that following the Taliban’s assumption of power, a considerable number of educated youths find themselves unemployed, compelling some to migrate to neighboring countries in response to this predicament.
