RASC News Agency: Feda Hussain Maliki, a member of the House of Representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressed his concern about the presence of ISIS in Afghanistan. He said that ISIS chose Afghanistan to establish itself after the defeat in Iraq and Syria.

He made these statements on August 27 in an interview with the “Tasnim” news agency close to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Referring to the joint meeting with the Pakistani officials, Maliki added: “In this meeting, it was decided to hold talks with the Afghanistani Taliban on this matter, because the re-gaining of power by ISIS in Afghanistan with the support of the United States will face the region and the world with a new security crisis.

According to Maliki, ISIS has appeared in Afghanistan in a different form and the presence of this group has been reported in Jalalabad province.

It should be mentioned that two armed attacks took place in the shrine of Shah Cheragh in Shiraz, Iran, during the year, and ISIS claimed responsibility for these attacks.

In addition, this member of the House of Representatives of Iran has stated that they have discussed the activities of the ISIS group in Afghanistan in a meeting with the senior security officials of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, in the last two years, the concerns of neighboring countries regarding the presence and activities of ISIS in Afghanistan have increased.

Previously, the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations for Counter-Terrorism, at the beginning of the meeting of the Security Council of this organization, focused on the threats of ISIS to international peace and security, announced the complex growth of ISIS in Afghanistan and expressed his concern about the acquisition of advanced weapons by terrorists in Afghanistan.
