RASC News Agency: In continuation of the arrest of Afghanistani refugees in Pakistan, there are reports that the Pakistani police have arrested more than 200 Afghanistani refugees during an operation.

According to reports, the Pakistani police arrested more than 200 Afghanistani refugees from the fruit and vegetable market in Islamabad, the capital of the country, on Sunday morning, September 17.

It should be noted that arresting Afghanistani citizens in Pakistan is not a new issue.

Pakistan has re-intensified the detention of Afghanistani refugees, as the acting Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, previously said that no Afghanistani can live in this country without a visa.

It should be noted that last week, the media announced that the security forces of this country have detained more than 300 people, including Afghanistani citizens with legal residency documents, in Pakistan.

According to “Arab News” report, Manza Kakar, a lawyer and human rights defender, published pictures and videos and said that many of the detained Afghanistani refugees had POR cards, but the Pakistani forces ignored this issue. They also confiscated their legal residence cards.

A POR card or “Proof of Registration Card” is an identity document issued by the United Nations to Afghanistani refugees, giving them the right to legal residence in Pakistan.

It should be mentioned that after the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, hundreds of thousands of Afghanistani citizens fled to Pakistan out of fear of this group. However, from time to time they are confronted by the police.
