RASC News Agency: The local officials of the Taliban group for Sare-Pol province confirm that a young man committed suicide and ended his life in the province.

The press office of the Taliban group’s police command for Sare-Pol province said in a statement published yesterday (Saturday, September 9) that this incident took place in Kohistanat district of this province.

Based on information in the newsletter; this 18-year-old man’s name is Ahmad Rashad and he was a resident of Pasni village in the center of Kohistanat district of this province. He hanged himself in his house.

Although the motive of this incident has not yet been determined, the investigation by the police forces of the Taliban group in Sare-Pol province has been started.

With the rule of the Taliban group over Afghanistan, the suicide rate of young people (girls and boys) has increased throughout the country.

Poverty and unemployment, destitution and lack of proper educational environment are among the main factors that, according to people, play a major role in the suicide of Afghanistani youth.

It should be noted that with the domination of the Taliban group on the country and the imposition of increasing restrictions on the social life of the citizens, especially the youth and women, it has provided the ground for such actions.

While suicide is considered a personal act, according to the law, those who force a person to commit suicide or are involved in its causes are criminals.

Meanwhile, the United Nations recently said in a report that suicide rates among women have increased significantly compared to men.
