RASC News Agency: Malik Setiz, a writer and researcher of international relations, in an open letter criticizing prominent American women, asked them why they “remain silent” about the situation of Afghanistani women.
In this letter, which he also published on his Facebook page, Setiz addressed the Kamala Harris vice president of the United States of America, Hillary Clinton, the former speaker of the House of Representatives, and Condoleezza Rice, the former adviser of the US National Security Council. Moreover, he has said that they have visited Afghanistan several times and have given numerous promises of support to Afghanistani women.
He added that the time has come for them to fulfill their promises to the deprived women and girls of Afghanistan.
He said that prominent American women took commemorative photos with Afghanistani women during their visit to Afghanistan and published them in the American and world media. Nevertheless, the same women in Afghanistan today are deprived of their most basic official rights, which are work and education.
According to him, all the freedoms of Afghanistani women and girls have been ruled by black hands, even the way they walk, laugh, look, speak, eat and breathe is shown razor and ax.
Setiz has reminded that instead of supporting women, the American government has created interactions with those who caused this unique tragedy in the contemporary history of the world and sends them money through official and unofficial ways.
Criticizing prominent American women, he wrote: “You, who carry the titles of the most courageous, productive and influential women in the world, why are you silent about the situation of Afghanistani women?”
Referring to the World Women’s Support Conference in Peking, where the American representative said, “His country will not be indifferent to any government that causes systematic discrimination against women!” he asks these women to come to Afghanistan now and change the situation. Let women see that being women considered a sin.
Setiz said that until now, none of the prominent women in America have taken a practical action against the crimes that are being committed against women in Afghanistan!
Emphasizing that the people of Afghanistan, especially women, do not forget this “deadly silence”, he said: “Remember that our girls will not count you as a woman who is a sacred being and your name will be in they will write on the side of terrorists!”
