RASC News Agency: Following the continuation of the arrests of journalists by the Taliban group, local sources in Kunduz province say that the intelligence of this group has arrested a journalist in this province.

According to the sources, Haseeb Hassas, the reporter of Salam Watandar Radio, was arrested at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 10 from the fifth district of Kunduz city.

This journalist is under the custody of the intelligence of the Taliban group and the reason for his arrest is not clear.

The local officials of the Taliban have not said anything about this.

Haseeb Hassas is a local journalist in Kunduz province who, in addition to Salam Watandar media, worked with several other local media, including Uranus TV and Kunduz Radio.

This is the fourth arrest of journalists by the Taliban in a week in the country.

Meanwhile, the Afghanistani Journalists’ Center announced the arrest of two journalists in the city of Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar province, on Thursday (August 10) by the intelligence agents of the Taliban group.

The center said in a statement that the detained journalists were named “Fakir Mohammad Faqirzai” and “Jan-Agha Saleh” and they work for “Radio Killid” media.

Previously, on Sunday (August 6), the agents of the Taliban group arrested and imprisoned Seyed Wahdatullah Abdali, a reporter of the Bakhtar State News Agency, in Ghazni province.

The Center of Afghanistan Journalists has said that at least four journalists, including Mortaza Behbodi, a foreign media reporter and a French-Afghan citizen, are in the prison of the Taliban group.

Expressing concern over the arrest of these journalists, this center has demanded their immediate release.
