RASC News Agency: Local sources in Panjshir province say that a resident of Panjshir province who wanted to go to Iran was arrested by the Taliban group at the border of “Islam Qala” in Herat province, and after spending 22 days in prison, he died under the torture of the Taliban group.

Sources have told the media that this citizen was named “Fayazul Haq” and that he was “suffocated” and died in Herat prison on Tuesday, August 22 by members of the Taliban group.

According to the sources, the Taliban group has not handed over the body of this young man to his family.

Sources add that although Fayazul Haq did not have a military background, the Taliban arrested him and imprisoned him in Herat province due to the discovery of a “photo in military uniform” on his computer.

The local officials of the Taliban group have not said anything about this so far.

It should be mentioned that after the Taliban took over Afghanistan, hundreds of residents of Panjshir province were arrested, imprisoned and in some cases killed.

During the two years of the Taliban’s rule over Afghanistan, human rights institutions have accused this group of massive human rights violations and the killing of former soldiers.

Meanwhile, some residents of Kandahar province have said that some local officials of the Taliban group have “personal prisons” in this province.

These residents have told the media on Wednesday, August 23, that some members of the Taliban group, some local employees and soldiers of the previous government have been imprisoned in their private prisons.

Meanwhile, the Office of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has recently published a report on the registration of 800 cases of human rights violations by the Taliban group.
