RASC News Agency: Local sources from Faryab Province report that unidentified assailants have killed two men in separate incidents in Maimana city and Khan Char Bagh district. Sources informed the media on Saturday, May 25th, that these two incidents occurred over the past day and night, resulting in the deaths of two individuals at the hands of unknown perpetrators.

In the first incident, which took place in the “Charmgar Khana” area of Maimana’s fourth district, unidentified individuals stabbed a young man named Abdul Basir to death. Sources added that the motive behind the murder of the 30-year-old man, who was recently engaged, remains unclear. However, a suspect has been arrested by the Taliban in connection with the killing.

Meanwhile, local sources from Khan Char Bagh district in Faryab reported that the body of a young man was found in a well on Friday, May 24th. According to sources, the man, identified as 32-year-old Omidullah, was a driver. Unidentified individuals killed him and disposed of his body in the well. The reason and motive behind this murder also remain unclear, and Taliban officials in Faryab have yet to comment on these killings.

Since the Taliban’s takeover of the country, there has been a notable increase in criminal activity and insecurity across various provinces. Previously, a woman and a young girl were also murdered in Faryab. Many of these mysterious murders are attributed to unidentified assailants and are not pursued by any authority.
