RASC News Agency: A humanitarian organization called Care International has announced that the prolonged period of blocking of schools and universities by the Taliban group on Afghanistani girls has caused them despair.

According to this institution, nearly 80% of Afghanistani girls who are of school and university age are deprived of education after the re-establishment of the Taliban group over Afghanistan.

According to the report of Pakistan Hub Server, which was published today, Thursday, August 24, citing the work of International, the deprivation of Afghanistani girls from education is said to cause an economic loss equal to 5.4 billion dollars.

This institution added that after the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan, nearly 2.5 million male and female students who meet the conditions for education have been deprived of their education rights.

This is despite the fact that more than 700 days have passed since the deprivation of girls above the sixth grade from education in Afghanistan; In addition, last year, the Taliban group also blocked the gates of universities to Afghanistani girls and women.

Referring to this action of the Taliban group, this organization said that the Taliban group has spread gender discrimination in Afghanistan with this action.

It should be mentioned that the Taliban group imposed many restrictions on girls and women after regaining control of the country, girls above the sixth grade are prohibited from going to school, universities and educational centers are blocked on girls in some provinces.

In addition, this group prohibited Afghanistani women from working in public and private offices and prevented women from participating in society.

The Taliban group’s repressive actions against Afghanistani women have faced reactions from human rights defenders and domestic and foreign institutions, but this group has not shown any flexibility in this regard.
