RASC News Agency: Mohsen Rezaei, athlete of the Afghanistan national taekwondo team in the 58 kg weight class, in the final round of the “World Taekwondo Festival” in South Korea, defeated Mehdi Khawari of the World Taekwondo Federation’s expatriate team, and with this victory, won the championship position. He won a gold medal.

Before the final round of the competition, Rezaei had defeated his opponents from Pakistan and South Korea.

In the newsletter of the Afghanistan Taekwondo Federation, it is stated that Mohsen Rezaei was the runner-up in the “Kim Unyoung” international competition a few days ago, and on Saturday, August 19, he won his third medal in this three-week trip with one gold medal and one bronze team medal.

In the team games, the Afghanistan team with the combination of Mohsen Rezaei and Omid Sahak won the third place and won the bronze medal. These two Afghanistani taekwondo players had defeated the powerful Korean team in the first team match, but were defeated by this team in the second match.

Before this, the Afghanistan Taekwondo Federation announced that Bijan Sadrzada won the silver medal and Ramesh Hosseini and Omid Sahak won the bronze medals at the World Taekwondo Festival in South Korea.

Today, Hikmatullah Zain and Mohammad Ashraf Shukran, two taekwondo players of the Afghanistan national team, are going to compete against their opponents from Mongolia and Pakistan.

Before this, Ali Akbar Amiri was the first Afghanistani taekwondo player who succeeded in winning the first gold medal in the history of Afghanistan Taekwondo from the Korea Open Taekwondo Competition and the (G2) competitions; Amiri had succeeded in defeating his Nigerian rival, who was known as the world taekwondo champion and runner-up in the Brazilian competition.
