RASC News Agency: On the eve of the two-year anniversary of the Taliban coming to power in Afghanistan, local sources in Paktika Province say that this group has made it mandatory to install their flag in houses and shops in the center and districts of this province.
Local sources from this province tell the media that on Sunday morning, August 13, a joint delegation from several military and civilian organizations of the Taliban group in this province, in Sheran district and Paktika districts, informed the people that by Tuesday of this week, every home owner and the shopkeepers are obliged to install the flag of this group on the door and wall of their houses and shops.
On the other hand, sources from the districts of this province have also confirmed that the installation of the Taliban flag was imposed on them.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs under the administration of the Taliban group has announced a public holiday on Tuesday of this week, on the occasion of the second anniversary of this group’s return to power, throughout Afghanistan.
The Taliban group has imposed their flag on the residents of Paktika while this flag has no official status at the international level.
With the re-domination of the Taliban group over Afghanistan, this group has imposed many restrictions against the citizens of the country.
The Taliban group came to power two years ago after the signing of the Doha Agreement with the United States of America and the surrender of Afghanistan from the government of Ashraf Ghani.
Since then, this group has imposed extensive restrictions against the basic rights of citizens, especially women. Which has brought criticisms from citizens and the world community.
Afghanistani women protestors have called August 15, the day when the Taliban came to power, “the blackest day” and these protesters have described the Doha agreement as “disgraceful”.
