RASC News Agency: In the ongoing series of forced expulsions of Afghanistani refugees from Pakistan, another 99 Afghanistani migrants have recently been deported and returned to their country. The Ministry of Migrants and Repatriates of the Taliban group informed the media that this group of migrants reentered the country via the Torkham border on Friday, Feb 23. Additionally, the ministry stated that this group, comprising 18 families, was forcibly expelled from Pakistan and repatriated to Afghanistan.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan and Iran have escalated the forced deportation of Afghanistani refugees in recent months, resulting in hundreds of migrants being expelled from these two countries daily. It is believed that following the Taliban’s assumption of power in Afghanistan, the migration of Afghanistani citizens to neighboring countries has surged for various reasons.

Observers suggest that poverty, unemployment, prevailing challenges in the country, imposed restrictions on citizens, and fear of the Taliban are among the contributing factors to the migration of Afghanistani citizens.
