RASC: According to local sources in Nangarhar province, the forces of the Taliban group attacked the Hamisha Bahar TV channel in Nangarhar and beat its employees.

Sources have said that the forces of the Taliban group attacked the building of Hamisha Bahar TV in Nangarhar on Monday, July 31, when a journalist-training workshop for girls was being held in this network.

The forces of the Taliban group have beaten up this workshop participants in violation of their orders prohibiting the education of girls, students and participants and organizers of this workshop.

According to the sources, the forces of the Taliban group have also threatened, humiliated, beaten and kicked out the employees of the TV network of Hamisha Bahar.

It should be mentioned that the Taliban group had arrested Atal Stanikzai, the director of Hamisha Bahar TV, for 24 hours last year, and there have been many complaints about the misbehavior of this group with media officials.

After gaining power in the country, the Taliban group imposed restrictions on the media and stopped the publication of some of their content and programs, and besides, they also prohibited journalists from covering news events, and some of them were even arrested or beaten.

This situation caused a large number of media outlets to end their activities in the field of information. Restrictions and prosecution of journalists have had negative and profound effects on Afghanistan media.

This is despite the fact that recently, a number of media outlets in the country stopped broadcasting due to various reasons, and a large number of journalists became unemployed in the country.
