RASC: Local sources in Panjshir province say that the intelligence of the Taliban group has detained three employees of the education directorate of this province on charges of embezzlement and administrative corruption.
According to the sources, these people were arrested last Wednesday, July 26, from the center of First district of Panjshir province.
Sources have added that Safiullah, the financial director of the Department of Education, Abdul Hamid, the director of education in first district, and Sami, the director of Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim school in this district, are people who have been accused and arrested of embezzlement and administrative corruption by the Taliban group.
It has been said that these people are employees of the previous government who were currently working in this department.
According to the sources, the Taliban group does not have enough documents about the corruption and embezzlement of the people detained in the use of money during their mission in the previous government and the two years of this group’s rule.
The Taliban group has not officially expressed an opinion in this regard.
Sources have claimed that the Taliban group has arrested several civil servants of the former government in Panjshir on “various pretexts” since they took control of the country.
In the latest case, last month, the intelligence of the Taliban group arrested four employees of the Panjshir Higher Education Institute on charges of administrative corruption and released them again after some time.
At the same time, despite the claim of inclusiveness of their system, this group has always tried to remove people from other ethnic groups and they intend to transfer their own people to positions in institutions.
