RASC: With the recent developments in the body of the country’s political system, the Afghanistan Prosecutors’ Association, in response to the reports of the cancellation of the Prosecutor General’s Office by the Taliban group, has asked the international community to prevent the destruction of Afghanistan’s legal system.
On Thursday, July 20, this association stated in a statement that with the abolition of the Attorney General’s Office by the Taliban group, all the judicial and judicial values of the country will be nullified.
This association has expressed concern regarding the cancellation of the prosecutor’s office by the Taliban group and said: “We ask the international community and justice-seeking countries to stand by the victims and give serious support to this vulnerable section of society and save the country’s legal system from complete destruction.”
Based on the information of the Afghanistan Medical Association, the cancellation of this office has resulted in the unemployment of more than four thousand professional, administrative and service personnel of this office, which is “a great injustice to the people and experts of the country”.
The General Prosecutor’s Office was established after the approval of the trust system of the Amanullah Khan period in 1921, and in 1346 it officially began to operate as a major part of the Afghanistan justice system, and its main task was to investigate crimes and prosecute suspects and accused persons.
