RASC: According to local sources in Herat province, the Taliban group has arrested a number of veiled women in this province with their latest restrictions.

According to sources, this group has nothing to do with women who wear (Chadari).

Yesterday, Sunday, July 16, the sources said that the Taliban group has been harassing Herat women wearing (Tent) and mantles for a week, and they are arresting these women throughout the city.

The sources added that the Taliban group will call their families after arresting these women.

According to the sources, after contacting the families of these women, the Taliban group spoke “ugly” with them and said: “Your women are roaming around the city without veils.”

It should be mentioned that nearly a month ago, the Taliban introduced a woman without a veil in the presence of her husband and son and caused her to be killed.

Meanwhile, a number of women in Herat have said that the Taliban group intends to suppress women through this method by the men of the family.

The Taliban group has not commented on this yet.

It should be noted that prior to this, the Taliban in Herat, during a warning, had prohibited car drivers from driving women without a burqa.

It should be mentioned that this group did not pay attention to any of the women’s rights during the first period of their control over the country, and at the present time, Afghanistani women under the control of the Taliban group are facing increasing restrictions.
