RASC: The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees announced in a new report published today, July 15, that Afghanistan, with 5.7 million refugees, was at the top of the countries with the most refugees in 2022.

This report shows that Afghanistani refugees have increased by three percent compared to last year.

Based on the report of the Refugee Organization, Afghanistan and Ukraine with 5.7 million immigrants are in the first and second places, and Syria is in the third place with 6.5 million refugees.

According to this organization, the number of Afghanistani refugees has increased from 2.9 million to 5.7 million.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has stated that Afghanistan’s neighboring countries, such as Pakistan and Iran, have the highest numbers of Afghanistani refugees.

This organization adds that in 2022, about 35.5 million people have become refugees around the world, and this figure will reach 27.1 million people in 2021.

War and violence, harassment and violation of human rights are the most important causes of migration by this organization.

It should be mentioned that after the Taliban group regained power, thousands of people in Afghanistan have become refugees in different countries such as America, Europe, Pakistan and Iran.

Meanwhile, according to reports, the number of refugees after the war in Ukraine reaches 11.6 million.

It should be noted that, according to the UNICEF report, the death rate of children who have become refugees from Afghanistan, Sudan and African countries has doubled compared to last year.
