RASC: Mawlawi Amanullah, head of agriculture and livestock of Kunduz province, married a woman from Kandahari Taliban group for 7,100,000 Kabuli/Afghani rupees.

According to the statements of one of Mawlawi Amanullah’s relatives, the head of agriculture, last year the fiancée of a Kandahari Taliban commander from Dasht Archi district escaped from her house with the help of another woman and came in Mawlawi Amanullah’s house, and Mawlawi Amanullah urgently married this girl and which now she is his wife.

He said that after that, the husband of this woman approached the governor of Kunduz and asked to solve the case.

However, since Mawlawi Amanullah himself was one of the senior commanders of the Taliban group in Chahardara district and has many armed forces, the governor’s power did not reach him and the case was left to the elders of both sides of the dispute.

The meetings of the elders of the tribe leaders and elders were prolonged and lasted for several months.

In the end, it was decided that Mawlawi Amanullah would give a teenage girl to the woman’s husband as (compensation).

The head of agriculture did not accept this decision of the elders, but he paid 7,100,000 Kabuli/Afghani rupees as a ransom and the case ended like this.

It should be mentioned that Mawlawi Amanullah has another married woman.

It is worth mentioning that Mawlawi Amanullah asked businesspersons and elders of the Kunduz province to pay more than half of this amount, in order to preserve the trust’s reputation and prevent the information from leaking to the media.

This is despite the fact that not long ago, the governor of the Taliban group for Laghman married an 18-year-old girl in exchange for a sum of two and a half million.
