RASC: In the continuation of the closure of the gates of universities and schools to Afghanistani girls, Nazar Mohammad Irfan, the head of foreign relations and the arrangement of scholarships of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Taliban group, during a trip to Iran, asked the Islamic Republic to cooperate in the field of training professors of educational institutions and employees of other departments.

The Ministry of Higher Education of the Taliban group wrote in a tweet on Saturday, July 1, that Nazar Mohammad Irfan met and talked with officials of the Diplomatic Center of the Islamic Republic during his trip to Iran.

Nazar Mohammad Irfan told the Iranian authorities that currently there are more opportunities for progress and cooperation in the field of higher education than in the past.

It is said that the officials of Iran’s diplomatic center also promised to cooperate with the Taliban group in the field of higher education.

This is despite the fact that since the Taliban took control of the country, girls above the sixth grade have been banned from going to school and the gates of the university have been blocked for girls, which has caused domestic and foreign reactions.

In addition to this, Afghanistani girls and women were also banned from going to parks and restaurants, and the work and activities of these women outside the home were also banned, which led to widespread protests by Afghanistani women, and the international community also made it one of the conditions for the official recognition of this group. Abolition of restrictions imposed on women.

The Taliban group has not yet said anything regarding the reopening of schools and universities for girls and their return to work.
