A Traffic Accident in Zabul Claims 9 Lives and Injured 31 People

RASC: As a result of an accident between a passenger bus and a truck in Qalat city, the center of Zabul province, nine people died and 31 others were injured.

This incident happened this morning (Thursday, June 8) in the “Pol e Sangi” area of ​​Qalat city.

Nazir Ahmad Harifal, the chief physician of civilian Hospital in Zabul, said that a “580” type passenger car belonging to Ahmad Shah Abdali Passenger Company collided with a “Mazda” car.

According to Harifal, nine people, including men and women, died and 31 others were injured in this incident.

 He added that the injured are being treated at civilians Hospital. However, he did not say anything about their condition.

The local officials of the Taliban in Zabul have not said anything about the cause of this incident.

This is the second fatal traffic accident in the country in the last 24 hours.

Yesterday, 24 people, including eight children and 12 women, died as a result of the overturning of a van type car in Sayad Sarpol district in the north of the country.

 In addition to the insecurity of traffic accidents, it takes heavy casualties from Afghanistani citizens every year.

Carelessness of drivers, poor and narrow roads and non-observance of driving rules are said to be the main causes of traffic accidents in the country.
