RASC: Twitter owner Elon Musk has appointed Linda Yacarino as the new CEO of Twitter.

Linda Yacarino previously worked as a director of advertising for the media company “NBC Universal”.

Ms. Yacarino will focus on Twitter’s business operations, Musk tweeted.

Linda Yacarino took over the CEO seat of Twitter while the company is facing challenges due to recent changes.

Musk said he was “thrilled” to appoint a new Twitter CEO.

Musk previously said that after appointing a new CEO, he will be Chief Technology Officer of Twitter in the future.

Following the purchase of Twitter by Elon Musk, his management in this company faced a lot of criticism, especially for the massive layoffs.

In response to these criticisms, in the month of Dec 2022, he launched a Twitter survey in which he asked users whether they agree with his departure from Twitter management or not.

More than 17 million people participated in this survey and 57% agreed with his departure from Twitter.

Accepting the results of the survey, Musk wrote that he will step down after finding a suitable candidate.
