This group wrote: “Islamic State fighters were able to detonate a car bomb near the car of the deputy governor of Badakhshan in the city of Faizabad.”

The explosion took place at around 8 am on Tuesday, June 6, in the area of ”Court Intersection” of the new city of Faizabad, the center of Badakhshan.

Sources said that in this explosion, the car carrying Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi was targeted and the car was completely destroyed.

According to the sources, a “Paso” type car, which was full of explosive materials, exploded when the car carrying Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi was approaching.

Meanwhile, Moazuddin Ahmadi, the head of information and culture of Badakhshan, said that two people, including Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi, died in this incident.

The head of information and culture of Badakhshan added that this incident occurred as a result of a car bomb attack in the new city of Faizabad.
