RASC: The intelligence department of the Taliban group has disarmed and arrested General Mobeen.
On Tuesday, June 6, the sources said that this department called him to Kabul two days ago from Logar and arrested him.
According to the sources, the intelligence of the Taliban group has seized the weapons, bulletproof car and phones of General Mobeen.
General Mobeen previously worked as a spokesperson for the Taliban group in Kabul and is considered one of the famous and controversial faces of the Taliban in social networks. A few days ago, he said in a “space” on Twitter that he regretted working with the Taliban as the spokesperson for the police commander of this group in Kabul. Mr. Mobeen criticized the Taliban administration as “Mullacracy” and said that the work should be left to the workers. He was arrested earlier after criticizing Mullah Fazl-ur-Rehman, the political and religious leader of Pakistan, who has close relations with the Afghanistani Taliban.
Mr. Mobeen, after Iran’s President Ibrahim Raisi warned the Taliban about Helmand’s water rights, filled the yellow barrel, which is considered as a symbol of Taliban bombings, and said that he would offer it to Mr. Raisi.
Broadcasting the images of this symbolic and warning work of Mr. Mobin attracted wide attention in Afghanistan and Iran.
This is despite the fact that Iran’s military and political officials had said that they have influence over the Taliban and were able to reach an agreement on the removal of the middle-ranking members of the Taliban group who had a strong stance against Iran. The removal of people like Mobeen confirmed the statements of Iranian officials about Iran’s influence on the Taliban group.
