RASC News Agency: Reliable sources report that the Torkham crossing was blocked as a result of the conflict between the Afghanistani and Pakistani border guards.
According to the sources, this crossing has been closed to passengers and vehicles on both sides of the border after the border guards of the two countries opened fire.
According to Pakistani media reports, quoting Pakistani security officials, this conflict happened today, Wednesday, September 6, and both sides opened fire.
The reason for this conflict has not yet been clarified, but it is said that officials from both sides have arrived at the scene to reopen the crossing.
Video tapes released from the border show that the bazaar near the border has also been closed.
Fawad Ahmad Khan, a member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party, published a tape showing the conflict and unrest on the border and wrote: “The border of Torkham and the nearby bazaars were closed. Shooting continues in the area!”
Meanwhile, a number of media reported that this conflict took place due to the construction of a checkpoint by Pakistani forces in Afghanistan, and at first Pakistani soldiers opened fire.
The officials of the Taliban group have not said anything about this yet. The claim of a border conflict between the border guards of the two countries is raised while the tension between Pakistan and the Taliban group has intensified in recent days.
