Sources: Detention of Two People by Taliban Group in Kabul Province

RASC: Sources say that the Taliban group has arrested Shams Rahman Raheeq, a civil activist and local UNAMA employee, and his brother Atta Rahman in Kabul.

The relatives of these two citizens stated that the reason for their arrest by the Taliban was “human rights activity and coordination of humanitarian aid”.

According to the sources, the intelligence of the Taliban arrested these two citizens on Monday May 29 from the Kabul crossing area and transferred them to an unknown place.

Sources said that the Taliban group probably transferred them to the head of 40 intelligence agencies of this group.

According to sources, Shams Rahman Raheeq is a local UNAMA employee in Panjshir and works in the field of providing humanitarian aid to needy families.

The sources added that the Taliban on suspicion of collaborating with Mr. Raheeq also arrested Atta Rahman, who is a student.

Relatives of Shams Rahman say that the Taliban had arrested and tortured this civil activist about a month ago on charges of human rights activities and “collaboration with the media”, but after a week he was given a “guarantee” and interceded by ethnic elders. were released

The Taliban group has not said anything about this so far.
