If the hidden and obvious aspects of the martyrdom of General Dawood Dawood to be analyzed, we will find out that hands from the high ranks of the central and local government were involved in it. In addition, this event was not only a terrorist attack, but also a big conspiracy, which should be investigated from the members of the high-ranking of the government; because there are similarities between his assassination and General Sahid Khili assassination. Now we look at the life of this free and proud general of Khorasan.
A Look at Sardar’s Life:
General Dawood Dawood was born in the Sunny year of 1349 in Shahan village, Farkhar district, Takhar province. His father, Haji Hussain Khan, was one of the pious man who took care of the poor and weak people of his time.
Dawood enrolled in 1355 to the Elementary school of Seyyed Abdul Rahman Shahid School. After graduating from experimental courses and the Abu Osman Taliqani High School, he joined the ranks of the Mujahideen, realizing the unfortunate conditions of the country, because the country was openly under the occupation of the Soviet Red Army.
Understanding the personal and social responsibilities of that time, he joined the war front led by Dr. Seyed Hussain Shahid, one of the prominent commanders of Jamiat-e-Islami in Takhar province, and he fought until the victory of the Mujahideen against the soviet puppet government. Innovation in strategic and operational actions, sound leadership and administration, having the idea of national unity, and most importantly, commitment and purity in his personal and social life caused him to be invited by the famous general of the country, the national hero of the country, Martyr Ahmad Shah Massoud to help him in the fight against the oppressive government
The achievements of General Dawood, along with the national hero of the country, were in fact a model for his peers. General Dawood as per his victories and his bravenes became the Commander of the Ahmad Shah Masood in eastern provinces, with the responsibility of the eastern fronts of Takhar, and during this time, he shone well with all the management and remained by his side as a helper and advisor to Masoud until the end.
o Sardar’s Tact
In order to examine how this anti-Talib figure who was a friend and helper during the jihad and resistance periods of the country’s national hero, Shahid Ahmad Shah Massoud and Dawood had good experience in the fields of management and war, it is necessary to look at the early years of the 1980s.
After the overthrow of the first round of Tehreek-e-Taliban, Kunduz province, as the center of the northeastern zone of the country, had a good strategic position, just like now. This province was in the focus of attention of the government and extremist terrorist groups; General Dawood Dawood took a position in the heart of the city as the commander of the No. 6 Army Corps. Where the enemy could harm less. This experienced general managed to turn Kunduz into one of the safest provinces of the country at the earliest opportunity and with sound management, and with the facilities; he had in the center of the country. He carried out major reconstruction and modernization projects in this war-torn city (which damaged by wars and falls several times in the last decade). 70 AD, except for a pile of dirt and old and collapsed buildings, there was nothing left in the square), to resume.
Kahandazh was a Tajik living city from long ago. The life of Persians in this old fortress is very old. However, the Afghan/Pashtun nationalists have committed many atrocities against Persian-speaking people and other non-Pashtun ethnic groups living in Kahandazh in the last few decades. They forcibly displaced Persian-speaking people and Uzbeks and distributed their lands and legal heritage properties to Pashtuns/Afghan. With this method, they created Afghaniza the communal structure of the city of Kahandazh and disrupted the communal fabric of this Persian city. This sinister policy, which originated from Mahmoud Tarzi’s ideas and Amanullah Khan’s system that is still going on.
The most important infrastructural and action that took place in this golden period of Kunduz was the construction of two residential towns for Tajiks. The distribution of residential plots to the Badakhshans living in Kunduz, who before that were living, scattered in the corners of the city and districts (their presence in the community was not very noticeable), cohesion and organization required them to name a corner of the city after them; It was the establishment of a town called “Karate Faizbad”. In the same way, the distribution of residential lands called “Rostaqabad town” and the transfer of hundreds of Takhari families who were entitled to it. For the first time to the Tajiks and non-Pashtun tribes of this land, who had been crushed under the tyranny of the tribe and the boots of the tribe, nearly a hundred years ago, caused to restore their identity and rights.
In the creation and realization of these projects, the focus was on social justice and the goal of the unity of the people who had been kicked under the ethnic oppression of the Afghan fascists for years.
Kunduz province has been the focus of the central governments since the time of Amir Abdul Rahman Shah Ghaddar, and during the periods of Amanullah Khan, Nader Khan, Mohammad Zaher Shah and Dawood Khan, thousands of families from the eastern and southern parts of the country and border Afghans moved to this province
In those periods, the best fertile and fertile lands were taken in different names from their main owners, who were mostly Tajiks, Uzbeks, Turkmens, and Imaqs, and distributed to the Pashtuns, and unfortunately this sad series continues. The non-Pashtun tribes had the significant rule in the society of that time, next to General Dawood, they had a prominent presence in the decisions of the Kunduz.
In addition, setting up debate circles, creating literary, social and cultural associations, under different names, in which General Shahid personally attended and strongly encouraged the youths, was another part of his unprecedented services. General Dawood attention and action to restore the rights of the oppressed people was inconsistent with the mood of the central government and the Pashtun and Kochi who had been riding on the people for years. If all the functions and services of this martyr depicted, it will not be included in this article.
It was that a number of four Kochi and Pashtun led by Haji Aman Atman Zai, with the influence they had in the central government, went to the president of the time, Hamid Karzai, and threw their hats on the ground and shouting: You have knocked down our lame shamla. You made an immigrant Tajik a leader above us and wasted all our hundred years of hard work.
Haji Aman Atman Zai the usurper of hundreds of acres of land, is from the Momand tribe and is on the other side of the border, who now lives in Kunduz.
In the first round of the occupation of the country in the seventies by the Taliban. This man bore all the costs of the Taliban’s war in the fields of Bangi and Takhar; After the overthrow of the Taliban in the country and the beginning of the temporary and transitional periods, he was the adviser of President Karzai and then his fanatical chief adviser, Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai.
General Dawood appointed as the senior deputy of counter-narcotics of the Ministry of Interior by the order of President Hamid Karzai, and he removed from the Kunduz area. Kunduz, which was taking steps towards the development and recovery of its original language and culture, once again fell into silence and darkness.
Restoring identity, determination and purity of self was the oath of a man from the lineage of freedom who gave his life for the people of Afghanistan and especially the north of the country and did not submit to any coercion. The myth of bravery, selflessness and martyrdom for the cause of the homeland was one of the characteristics of General Dawood Dawood, which today anyone who has free-spirited thoughts and ideas, remembers him with praise. He had a great talent in encouraging and mobilizing the youth to fight against terrorism. Most of the knowledgeable people believe that if Dawood Dawood and his companions were alive, the course of today’s war would have been different. Terrorism and drugs did not spread in these areas.
The residents of Kunduz and Takhar completely feel the absence of this young leader, and with pain and hesitation, they remember the years when that great man served in Kunduz and shed tears. He was a kind and loving man, he had a friendly relationship with the people and those around him, he respected white-haired people and listened to their words and suggestions, and he say frankly: “I need your constructive advice.” If these suggestions would bring an atmosphere of empathy and intimacy, he would act on them. Such a man was a great obstacle to the Taliban’s control in the north, and he had shone well during the resistance periods and after that, in the fight against Taliban terrorism. However, with pain and hesitation, it shined well and quickly extinguished.
Sardar Standing
During the time that General Dawood served in the position of deputy director of the fight against narcotics of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, he made several large drug mafia gangs disappear and flee in the northern areas and Helmand province, which was the center of drug cultivation and trafficking. He himself fearlessly participated in the operations of destroying opium-cultivated areas. This time was equal to the transfer of war and insecurity from the south to the north of the country.
After some time, General Dawood transferred to Balkh province as the commander of the 303 Pamir army corps; here, in alignment with Mawlana Sayeed Khili, Kunduz’s Engineer Omar and General Shahjahan Nouri, they purposefully stood against terrorism to defend the honor and identity of the sacred people. Nevertheless, at this time, the sinister plans of the clan’s conspirators Pashtuns out head on.
This time, Zalmi Wisa, the general commander of the army (the commander of the 209th Shaheen Corps in Balkh), disagreed with him, but General Dawood neutralized Zalmi Wisa’s sinister plans with his clever management
Sardar’s Social Behavior
One of the good qualities of the young general was that even his closest people if anyone who committed a violation severely reprimanded and reprimanded to serve as a lesson to others. I remember that the harsh and burning winter came early that year when the next day, journalists and media officials invited in the lunch at the headquarters of Qol-Ardu located in Spin Zar Club. After many stories exchanged among everyone, in the end, the participants shared one by one a winter jumper in mash color, which was very valuable and expensive, from the precious general given a gift.
Inside Army Corps No. 6, which originally owned by Spin Zar Kunduz Company, he built a very large and standard mosque and asked the people around him to pray five times in congregation. One of his relatives told me: “We have not yet seen that the Tahjud prayer of the Commander to be missed, whether during the Jihad, during the resistance, or even now.”
o Sardar Gloaming
Jawza 7, 1390 is considered a bloody and black day for the children of Takharistan. On this day, a free man descent drank the cup of martyrdom with several of his companions. On this day, Takhar lost his best son in a cowardly plan (not suicide). A few things show that his martyrdom plan was pre-engineered:
On the morning of the 7th of Jawza, the headquarters of Takhar province placed under strict security measures;
o No one knew what these restrictions were for around the avenue and the headquarters of the province?
o Later it turned out that the governor of Takhar had started a conference for the commander of the German forces in Taliqan, whose term of service has ended;
A few journalists and I called the Governor of Takhar, the spokesperson of the province, and the police command several times and asked the reason, but we did not receive a correct answer.
o The passage of people at the Taliqan intersection (chowk) was under the supervision and restrictions of the security forces, and this situation had made businessmen and other people fed up;
The employees of the Takhar province said that we only knew that a party was going to be held in the hall on the second floor of the province headquarters.
o Several journalists who were able to enter the meeting said that until the beginning of the meeting, it was not understood why this conference was started;
o Outside the province, most of the forces that were assigned for the security of the area belonged to the Shahin Army Corps and the commander of this army was Zalmi Wisa;
A reporter who asked not to be named said
When General Dawood Dawood and Zalmi Wisa, who had just come from Mazar-e-Sharif, faced the governor of Takhar, the governor of Takhar was surprised and asked Mr. Dawood, who informed you about this meeting? In addition, General Shahid, referring to Zalmi Wisa, said that I invited by the commander of Shaheen Army Corps. This witness said that after the party ended, everyone went down to the house, and outside the repair shop near the stairs, suddenly there was a loud explosion, followed by several Kalashnikov shots fired individually and for a few minutes.
Other witnesses of the scene also confirmed these words and said that when the explosion occurred, we were well aware that Zalmi Wisa was not at the scene and was busy on the phone with someone upstairs.
o Later, during an interview with one of the country’s media, the brother of the martyred General Dawood Dawood said that his brother General Dawood was martyred by Kalashnikov bullets in his body, because there were no bullets that could be evidence of a suicide attack.
Even those who had shops around the governorate said that after the explosion, they saw the commander of the Shaheen Army Corps, who had run towards his car after walking over the heads of the dead and wounded and quickly left the area;
o It can be seen that Mr. Zalmi Wisa didn’t even wait to see who was alive or dead in this bloody attack;
The next day, the presidency said in a statement that this attack was a suicide attack by a citizen of Uzbekistan, who disguised himself among the security forces in police uniform and blew himself up.
While the Taliqan local government board said in a statement that the attack was just an explosion, because at least there were no traces of the suicide bomber’s body.
After the martyrdom of Dawood Dawood, the north of the country became the main target of the war. The war slowly entered the north from the south of the country, the Taliban organized their scattered ranks day by day, and as a result, most of the villages and towns fell into the hands of the opponents of the government one after another. In addition, the scope of insecurity reached the cities.
The martyrdom of General Dawood caused such despair to the residents of the north and northeast and made their faith so weak that whoever was looking for a way to escape from the north to Kabul, the dark days that the people of the north were waiting for after Dawood Dawood came. ; The scope of insecurity reached the outskirts of Kunduz city. In 1394, the city of Kunduz fell and the Taliban controlled the city for nearly two weeks, they did whatever they wanted to the residents, and the northeast of the country became the center of global terrorism.
In addition, the districts of Archi, Gul Tapa and Chahadara Kunduz turned into strong strongholds of terrorists. Madrasahs started with Peshawari teachers to teach children the ideas of extremism and to encourage Jihad to children. They have had several leisure gatherings and thousands of boys and girls have been offered to the society with strong thoughts and harsh Islam, and this process is still going on.
o Concluding remarks: I hesitate on several points
General Dawood Dawood’s relationship with Zalmi Wisa, the commander of the Shahin Army in Mazar-e-Sharif, was not good. On the other hand, the governor of Takhar did not invite General Dawood to this meeting, so on what basis did General Dawood and the army commander, Mr. Wisa, go from Balkh to Taliqan with only a few special guards.
o During the meeting, Mr. Zalmi Wisa seemed restless and they even said that he did not give a speech and when he left the hall of the provincial office, he distanced himself from everyone and took a seat on the second floor of the provincial office under the pretext of a phone call.
After the incident, while Commander Dawood with Shahjahan Nouri, two German soldiers, Takhar governor and several security forces killed and wounded, Mr. Wisa hurriedly left the second floor of the province building while none of his soldiers injured. He put it on the wounded and the martyrs, without even seeing what happened to the other officials, whether they are alive or dead, he got into a car with his people and hurried away from the area?
The main points: in the meeting where numbers of internal and external guests invited to be attended. The national security forces and the police, the presence of the army forces under the command of Zalmi Wisa were more prominent and at the gate of the province more than all the people related to the army led by Zalmi Wisa. They assigned to provide security; the security of an area related to the trained police and national security, not the army.
o The day after the incident, the presidential office immediately described the attack as terrorist and suicidal in a statement, and a fact-finding committee was appointed, and the result of the investigation of this committee was not announced until today.
