RASC: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Afghanistan (OCHA) says that $449.9 million is needed to provide health services to 15.6 million people in the country.

Today, Thursday, May 25, OCHA wrote in a tweet that “multiple shocks” have raised Afghanistan’s health needs.

This institution also added that if Afghanistan’s vital health services not invested in, it will lead to an increase in deaths among the most vulnerable people.

OCHA added: “This year, 449.9 million Dollars is needed to provide essential health care services to 15.6 million people.”

OCHA has requested 4.6 billion dollars for humanitarian operations in Afghanistan this year.

According to OCHA, currently a small part of this budget has been provided.

According to this office, 28 million people in Afghanistan need humanitarian aid.
