RASC: Continuing Pakistan’s concerns about security threats, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country once again asked the Taliban group not to allow terrorist groups to use Afghanistan’s territory.

Pakistan’s “Nation” newspaper reported that Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a press conference on Thursday, July 13, that the Taliban should fulfill their obligations in terms of fighting against terrorist groups and not using Afghanistan’s ground against Pakistan.

She has emphasized once again that Islamabad adheres to its commitment to interact and cooperate with the Taliban group in all fields, especially common concerns, including addressing the issue of “terrorism threats from across the border”.

Baloch has stated that the officials of the Taliban group are responsible in this regard, to ensure that there is no threat to Pakistan from Afghanistan.

The Taliban group has always rejected the use of Afghan territory against Pakistan and said that they do not allow this.

These statements are made while the Taliban group has relocated thousands of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) fighters along with their families in the northern and central provinces of Afghanistan according to the agreement with Islamabad.

Further, this action of the Taliban was welcomed by Pakistani officials, including Asif Durrani, Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan. Durrani called this plan a great development for the security of the border areas of his country.
