UNICEF: In Case of Financial Support, we Expand the Classrooms

RASC: The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Afghanistan says that this organization has provided access to education for 500,000 boys and girls by establishing community-based educational institutions.

This institution wrote in a tweet today, Monday, May 22, that for many of these girls, this is the only way they can go to school.

UNICEF says it is supporting 17,600 schools to provide children with access to education in remote areas.

This institution says that with the financial support of donor institutions, it can expand its educational institutions to 21,000 institutions throughout Afghanistan.

Since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, this group has banned girls above the sixth grade from going to school.

This group has repeatedly emphasized that the ban on girls’ education is not permanent and that they will be allowed to go to school after preparing a proper Sharia environment.
