RASC: Local sources in Samangan province say that the Taliban group arrested Firozuddin Tagin, the mayor of this province in the previous government.

On Friday, May 19, local sources say that the Taliban group in the city of Aybak, the capital of Samangan province, arrested Firozuddin Tegin three days ago.

According to the sources, Mr. Tagin was living in the city of Aibak after the Taliban group took control based on the general amnesty order of the leader of this group. Finally, the Taliban group arrested him from his house and transferred him to an unknown place.

Sources from within the Taliban group also confirm that Firuzuddin Tagin arrested in Samangan province based on the guidance of the Taliban security commander.

This source does not say anything about what the former mayor of Samangan province arrested.

This is despite the fact that after the rule of the Taliban group in Afghanistan, the local officials of the previous government have always been arrested and tortured by this group on various pretexts.
