Two Women Killed by Unknown Gunmen in Kapisa Province

RASC News Agency: Local Taliban officials from Kapisa province report that two women were recently killed in the province by unidentified armed individuals. Abdul Fattah Faiz, the spokesperson for the Taliban police command in Kapisa, stated that the two women were killed late on Thursday, Apr 18, by unknown gunmen.

According to the Taliban official, the gunmen killed the two women in Hassanabad village in the Ala Sai district of the province. The incident is believed to be linked to family feuds. Previously, family violence in Kapisa province has claimed the lives of several women.

In October of last year, two women were killed by their husbands due to domestic violence in the Hisa Awal Kohistan district of Kapisa.

Since the Taliban took control of the country, the level of violence against women has increased due to the absence of a legal framework to address such incidents, which has surpassed levels seen in previous years.
