The killing of a religious scholar in Ghor province

RASC: Local sources of Ghor province report the killing of a religious scholar by unknown gunmen in this province.

This event happened on Saturday evening, May 6, in the city of Firouzkoh, the capital of Ghor province.

According to sources, this religious scholar was named Mufti Mohammad Nazeer Manavi, and unknown gunmen shot him after performing the evening prayer in front of the gate of the city mosque of Firouzkoh.

Manavi was the mufti of the appeal court of Ghor province in the previous government.

However, the motive and perpetrators of the murder of this religious scholar are not known yet; But local sources claim that the Taliban group is responsible for this incident.
The Taliban group has not said anything about this so far.

It should be mentioned that since the Taliban regained control, several religious scholars have been killed in different parts of the country by unknown armed men.

In the latest case, unknown gunmen shot a religious scholar on Friday night, May 5, in the vicinity of Nahrin city, Baghlan province.
