RASC News Agency: The Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) has announced that its forces carried out a coordinated attack on the district governor’s office in Qadis, Badghis province. According to the group’s official statement, the assault resulted in the deaths of three Taliban fighters and left two others wounded. The AFF reported that its fighters launched the offensive on the evening of Friday, February 14, engaging in a fierce battle with Taliban forces stationed at the facility. The statement further revealed that the firefight lasted approximately 30 minutes, during which three Taliban members were killed and two others injured, while AFF forces reportedly emerged unscathed.

Additionally, the group claimed to have destroyed a Taliban military vehicle as part of the operation. Eyewitnesses and local sources in Badghis confirmed hearing a powerful explosion followed by heavy gunfire around 8:00 PM in Qadis, with intense clashes persisting for nearly 25 minutes. As of now, the Taliban has not issued any official statement regarding the attack. The AFF has ramped up its insurgency in recent weeks, executing three high-profile attacks against Taliban forces across multiple provinces, including Kabul and Badghis.

Alongside the National Resistance Front (NRF), the AFF remains one of the most active armed resistance groups opposing Taliban rule in Afghanistan. A recent joint report by both factions disclosed that over the past year, they have conducted nearly 100 military operations against Taliban targets, inflicting significant casualties and territorial disruptions on the regime.
