RASC News Agency: The National Resistance Front (NRF) of Afghanistan has escalated its offensive against the Taliban in recent months, executing strategic attacks aimed at weakening the group’s grip on power. Over the past two weeks alone, the NRF has conducted two targeted assaults, inflicting significant casualties on the Taliban. In its latest operation, the NRF confirmed the successful targeting of the Taliban’s provincial police headquarters in Kunduz. According to the statement released by the NRF, the nighttime raid, carried out on January 6, resulted in the deaths of four Taliban fighters and injuries to five others.
The NRF revealed that the operation, which took place at approximately 7:20 p.m., specifically targeted guards assigned to the Taliban’s provincial police chief and other stationed militants. The assault also led to the destruction of two Taliban vehicles. “The mission was executed with precision, and none of our forces sustained injuries,” the NRF emphasized in its statement. This attack is part of a broader strategy by the NRF to dismantle Taliban control through calculated and coordinated strikes. The group claims its operations aim to liberate Afghanistan from what it describes as the Taliban’s illegitimate and oppressive regime.
The NRF, under the leadership of Ahmad Massoud, has been actively engaged in guerrilla warfare against the Taliban since the group’s return to power. According to the NRF, its fighters have neutralized over 500 Taliban members in various operations over the past three years. The resistance group maintains that its efforts are fueled by a commitment to restoring freedom and sovereignty to the Afghanistani people, vowing to continue its campaign until the Taliban’s dominance is eradicated.
