RASC News Agency: On November 25th, in an article, Rahmatullah Faizan, a diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan under the control of the Taliban group, urged the Indian government to resume its consular activities in Afghanistan. Faizan emphasized that Afghanistan is now a safe and secure place for foreign citizens to travel and invited Indian tourists to enjoy the beautiful weather and nature of Afghanistan in a safe environment. He also called on the Indian government to utilize the balanced economic policies of the ruling system in Afghanistan to transform the country into a hub of connectivity, economy, and understanding.
Despite the fact that many countries no longer maintain diplomatic presence in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, Faizan urged the Indian government not to create a gap in its relations with Afghanistan and to demonstrate its love and friendship with the Afghanistani people through practical actions. However, it should be noted that Faizan raised concerns about security at a time when criminal activities, including mysterious murders and targeted killings, are on the rise in Afghanistan. This raises concerns about the safety of foreign citizens traveling to Afghanistan.
Additionally, the recent arrest of four employees of the German International Cooperation Agency on charges of espionage by the Taliban group has resulted in the suspension of the agency’s activities in Afghanistan. This highlights the challenges faced by foreign organizations operating in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. Despite Faizan’s call for the Indian government to resume its consular activities in Afghanistan, the security situation in the country remains a concern for foreign citizens and organizations.
