RASC News Agency: Sources from Jawzjan province have confirmed that the Taliban group in the Darzab district of this province is extorting money from the local population who receive aid from aid organizations based on the number of people in the local council. According to the sources, Taliban officials charge each household at least 300 Kabuli rupees, the current currency of Afghanistan. Failure to pay this amount results in arrest and imprisonment until the money is handed over.

Moreover, the Taliban group forcibly collects 30 Kabuli rupees from the firewood and wheat of the people in Darzab district. In addition to extorting money, the Taliban group has been reported to harass and use violent behavior against the local people. This behavior includes entering people’s houses at night and stealing their property.
Furthermore, the group has demanded a share of the people’s agricultural products under the pretext of asking for the presence of worshipers in the village. These actions by the Taliban group in the Sancharak district of Sar-e-Pul province have also been reported, indicating a pattern of misbehavior and disregard for social etiquette.

It is evident that since their domination of the country, the Taliban group has subjected the people to various forms of harassment. This can be attributed to their lack of familiarity with the culture of social etiquette. The actions of the group in the Darzab and Sancharak districts, such as extorting money, stealing property, and demanding shares of agricultural products, highlight the oppressive nature of their rule. The local population in these areas is forced to endure these injustices, further exacerbating their already difficult circumstances.
