RASC News Agency: Maisam Nazari, the Head of Foreign Relations for the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, has accused the Taliban of undermining Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity by fostering ties with terrorist groups, thus inviting foreign military interventions. Reacting to recent Pakistani airstrikes on Paktika Province, Nazari asserted that the Taliban’s support for foreign militants has created a fertile ground for external aggression. He labeled these actions as detrimental to the country’s national interests and the well-being of its citizens.
On Tuesday night, Pakistan’s air force launched intense airstrikes on various areas of Paktika in eastern Afghanistan. The Taliban reported that at least 46 people, including women and children, lost their lives in the assault. In a statement shared on X on Wednesday, Nazari wrote, “No Afghanistani citizen will ever accept the violation of their homeland’s territorial integrity by any foreign power.” He further emphasized, “The Taliban is chiefly responsible for fostering conditions that make such violations possible.”
Nazari argued that the Taliban, by promoting chaos and sheltering tens of thousands of foreign militants intent on destabilizing the region and beyond, has severely weakened Afghanistan’s sovereignty and provided justification for foreign military strikes. He called on the Afghanistani people to unite against the Taliban, emphasizing that only through collective resistance can the nation achieve peace and security. Nazari directly blamed the Taliban for the Pakistani airstrikes on Paktika, describing their policies as the root cause of the aggression.
In an earlier response, the Taliban summoned Pakistan’s charge d’affaires to express strong condemnation of the attacks. Meanwhile, the Taliban’s Ministry of Defense issued a statement promising retaliation against Pakistan’s military actions.
