RASC News Agency: The National Resistance Front and Afghanistan Freedom Front have carried out two distinct operations against Taliban forces, resulting in the deaths of five Taliban members and the injury of two others in Kabul and Faryab provinces. According to a statement from the National Resistance Front, their forces launched an assault at 6:30 PM on Thursday, October 24th, targeting Taliban intelligence personnel in the Karte Naw Bakery area within Kabul’s 8th security district. The operation reportedly left three Taliban members dead, with the resistance forces seizing their weapons as “spoils of war.”
To date, the Taliban have not responded to these claims made by the Resistance Front. Separately, the Afghanistan Freedom Front announced that its forces engaged Taliban members in Faryab, resulting in the deaths of two members and injuring two others. A video accompanying the announcement captured sounds of explosions during an attack aimed at the Taliban’s border unit on the outskirts of Maimana city at around 8:00 PM on the same day.
While the video captured intense explosions, the exact cause and location remain unconfirmed. Taliban authorities in Faryab dismissed reports of any explosion, asserting that the loud sound was merely the result of a vehicle’s tire bursting. Additionally, Taliban police in Faryab referred to the explosion as “rumors,” urging local journalists to counter these reports.
Similar reports surfaced last week, detailing attacks by these resistance groups on Taliban members in Kabul. Over recent months, anti-Taliban resistance groups have noticeably intensified their operations across various regions of Afghanistan, underscoring their ongoing opposition to Taliban rule.
